Least we forget the kidnapped girls by Boko Harum in Nigeria. I can remember watching the news with horror as these young girls were taken from their school. I often wondered what happened to them. I found an article in the Metro newspaper or may 19th 2016 by Michelle Faul p27.
Boko Harum girl is found after two years with a baby.
A pupil kidnapped by Boko Harum in Nigeria two years ago has been found with a four month old baby. Amina Ali Nkeki is the first of the 219 girls taken from the town of Chicbok to be found since the mass abduction that caused anger worldwide. The traumatised 19 year old was said to have been found by soldiers on the fringes of sambisa forest. She returned to Chicbok on Tuesday for her identity to be verified and to be reunited with her mother. Her father is one of 16 parents to have died since the girls were taken.
The family have been taken to a military camp in Damboa. Reverend Enoch Mark, whose two daughters are missing, said by the grace of God, our daughters some of them, will be found if they are still alive.
Militants stormed the government girls secondary school on April 14th 2014 and seized 276 pupils preparing for a science exams. Dozens escaped but 219 remained missing.
